I've preordered GT5 and was half tempted to preorder this at the same time!! it really does look amazing, and its a bit more interactive than previous formula 1 games where you just hop in and drive a full championship, its gone a bit Fifa/Football manger-ish and seems really really good

its not the first, F1 Championship edition etc has been out for a few years and is on both platforms, This is Codemaster's first F1 game for both platforms and the first since they made Formula 1 '97 for the PS1,

yup been chapping at the bit for this to come out, need something new to play, forza 3 aint got same apeal as forza 2 did and mw2 is running very thin

You wouldnt beleive how much better it gets.. i have now turned the AI up to legendary as the professional drivers werent that much of a challenge on bahrain (even in a virgin) driver aids are set to medium traction control as i still need to get used to the wheel but even at that im spinning loads less than i was with the controller, you can feather the throttle in more acuratly and lifting off and turn in is a lot easier to do.. just all round better.

I finally got it last week, I gotta say i'm fairly enjoying it, i binned F1 Championship edition after 3 weeks because it was too uncontrollable but this is just perfect, very realistic!!

It's so good i might just have to buy a second telly so i cn play it ansd GT5 at the same time lol

My best track is Bahrain which is a 1.48.4 (No Assists).

Cool man, thats pretty impressive times, my turkey time trial one is getting me ranked 854th in the world.. and if your low 1.06's in brazil then thats top 500 material.. im not far off setting a low 1.06 but i keep invalidating my lap.. time trials a bit different than race pace as if you make one silly mistake or cut a corner and gain time your lap is invalidated, you should def give the time trials a bash

The time trial cars are a bit quicker than online as they are all based on the Red Bull. Guessing you're using the Mclaren on time attack?

I'll do a few time attack times later tonight and see what times i can get on them.

Are the equal performance cars based on the force india?

No. All equel cars online are based on the Red Bull RB6.

The McLaren has a faster top end.

Really? I race with the rb6 all the time with my mates on 2010 performance (we do a gp sunday and sprint race every track) and my setups feel totally different when the performance is equal :/
