hi can you tell me the law on what weight i can have in a van,
i share works van but its loaded with tools and parts and chest cabinets for the tools, thing is it feels heavy and is like a bouncy castle on roads with its swaying, ive tried to evenly distribute the weight but its not worked, collegue said it was a tad heavy lol
its also a breakdown van sothe tools and parts are needed
its a ldv 300 convoy lpg model
dont know if it matters but ipassed test after 98

also would i be right in saying there is no public wieghbridge near loanhead

You need to look at the manufacturer's plate on the vehicle or the Ministry plate if it's over 3.5 tonnes. That will tell you what the maximum gross weight for the vehicle and each axle is. There is a weighbridge at Edgefield Industrial estate in Loanhead that I used to use for enforcement purposes. Pop in and see if they wouldn't mind helping you out. It's a plate weighbridge as opposed to a dynamic axle one, but you could always put one axle on the plate at a time.
