It is said that it will be that much, not confirmed though. But as said, FIFA was that much (either there or Tesco I didn't buy it but my mates did) so it will be a decent price most likely. But, Sainsburys is definitely doing it for £26 so I would take a trip there.

Mabye so, but Asda/Tesco still do these deals. I bought FIFA 09 for £25 last year on day of release, and my mates bought it for £26 this year (FIFA 10), I didn't because I'm a Pro Evo guy.
The Sainsburys deal should be going through, and I'm definitely going to go there early morning to bag myself a copy. If anyone else is doing it cheap then it's a midnight launch job!

You sure about that? I went to the Sainsburys at Georgie/Murrayfield today on my way back from uni and asked the guy who worked there and he said it was definitely £26 and that they open at 7am! I have to get up early and go past there on my way to uni anyway, so will head in and buy it!

Really? I've never played Modern Warfare, only WAW. Apparently the online aspect is better in even the first Modern Warfare.
Its not terrible, but i enjoy the older guns you got in WAW.

WAW sucks big time, fair enough its got old guns but then its also got people who shoot you from under the map or from inside rocks. Tanks are pretty cool I suppose as is the flamethrowers and nazi zombies is a properly fun game in its own right.
But
Modern Warfare 2 just wipes the floor with both WAW and MW1, its just immense and the amount of upgrades and things you can do is out of this world. Imo there is no other first person shooter that even comes close to just how good MW2 is. :D

Yeah mate pretty much everyone on the PS3 was yesterday. The trophies weren't working properly either, which is VERY annoying. They have released a patch for it though, s should be okay now, although the trophies aren't retrospective so you have to go through it again to get them :(
MW2 is great, but I still prefer Uncharted 2 :D

To be fair, the PSN very rarely stops working and if it does it's not for long. And it's Activision's incompetence which is causing MW2 not to work online on the PS3 not Sony as on the PS3 the online servers are run independently by each company. On the 360, Microsoft run all of the online servers, and they make you pay for it!
I'm not bothered about not being able to play online, plus we don't have to pay £30 a year to play online :P

servers started workin again late last nite have to say not a bad game gonna put the fault to being the servers wer overloaded an couldnt handle it all ma other games worked no probs not really a hardcore gamer so am quite chuffed am a rank 10 already ....... oh aye ps3 all the way much better than xbox lol
Have to say i really like this game and not a shit as i thought i would be at it.. thank god Vinnies away this weekend means i get to try play it more now :D

lol its only a computer has it really come down to this.. I aint played the PS3 yet but will be soon enough when Vinnie get his for christmas but i am pretty sure they all have their ups and downs..

getting quite into the game, not had much chance to sit and play much of it only a few hours here and there,
need to get back into the online matches aswell only done 2 or 3 of those, also have to try figure out how to shoot from the hip online as aiming up etc is my biggest downfall

Yeah I know, exclusives work both ways. I can't believe you haven't heard of Uncharted, let alone Uncharted 2! It is one of the highly reguarded games of this generation! Graphically superior to MW2, and imo better game play (I prefer action adventure to FPS) and a much better story.

Anyway, no denying that MW2 is a brilliant game, I started the Spec Ops yesterday on Veteran, the first set aren't too bad but the first level in Bravo was just ridiculously hard! Did a few other ones in Bravo though :D

Is spec ops any good then? I haven't really given it much of a look and quickly got bored trying to get the pit time under 30 secs without much luck, got that down to 35 secs so far. A mate at work says there is a snowmobile race to be done too. :)
Completed the story on veteran, while it was a fantastic story without doubt, I also felt that the story wasn't long or hard enough compared with previous titles. It was kinda easy with far fewer 'scream at your tv' moments. Suppose tho that Spec Ops is there to help bulk it up and mutliplayer is still awesome too. Now the main story is over its like a feeling of emptiness that has come over me now. :(
Not gonna spoil it for anyone but for the story all I can say is, wow! 8)
you dont think its hard? i'm doing it on regular i think and already been screaming at the tv on various parts.

Maybe its cos i've done every cod game on veteran, its masochism in its own right. Such a good feeling tho once you finally get to the end. Some parts of it seem solid and take a good while plus a re-think of tactics to get thru but compared with the sniper and the no fighting in the war room missions on MW1 plus the mission to get to the Riechstag on WAW, MW2 seemed less intense. :)

Been playing this since lastnight with my mate, even reactivated my live account for it - first impressions are that I don't prefer it compared to rainbow six but it is still very good, and better. I've heard so much about the game being easy and short on campaign, mate completed it in two sittings, another in just over 4 hours, etc. But they're legends of the game compared to me. I'll stick at it but right now, I'm fucking pish! :(

i tried the throwing knife as i seen you can pick it back up? i lost mine in a room on the first throw!
not sure what the quickest way to level up is, games with points that dont always depend on your kills always help, headquarters if you can do that or maybe the capture the flag ones (not a fan of them myself).

But i hear headquarters is easiest. I do just play ground war with friends or if im alone team deathmatch or mercenary team deathmatch.
Throwing knives are the shit I love getting the last kill with one so it shows everyone.
I think im lvl 57 just now and rising. Started off with the famas now use the m16.
i did one level just using throwing knives and went 12-8 me and one guy threw them both at the same time and both died. My room mate threw one right across the map and killed some random person lol.

try and complete the challenges on the guns etc, thatll make you fly through the levels

Slowly trying to kill off pc gaming unfortunatly. Even Gears of War makers diss it and thats what made them who they are today the cheeky bar stewards.

not really that sure but i think u can only prestige 10 times, i've only prestige'd once and am level 40 just now it is annoying having to start from scratch tho, ak47 is good but i frefer the m41a blinged out with FMJ and holographic sight with bullet penatration and commando pro , secondary gun akimbo ranger shotguns with FMJ, ........... think this is a great game but is needing new maps already lol

Can pull of some cool killstreaks with it
once you prestige for the 3rd time you get to add another killstreak, and another at 5th prestige i think.
i'm upto level 64, still to hit my first prestige.

only used it for a few hours a day and just about maxed out the challenges allready

I found the TAR21 with red dot sight to be pretty good, use the anti tank rocket launcher or Javelin and claymores. :)
Perks I use are:-
1 - Scavenger Pro (pick up extra claymores and rockets for javelin or ATH-T and pro gives extra ammo)
2 - Hardline Pro (1 less for killstreak and pro means 1 less for deathstreak)
3 - Ninja Pro (invisible to heartbeat sensors and with pro you have silent footsteps)
Killstreak rewards I have are:-
7 (6 with hardline) - Harrier Strike
11 (10) - Chopper Gunner
25 (24) - Tactical Nuke
