Surprised there hasnt been a thread on this already here.
who has it, what cars do you have and most importantly what do you think of the game?
i'm loving the game, handling of the cars is fantastic, i've got to grips with the design side i think so having fun that way :D

Amazing game, Currently using the R32 GTR maxxed out, and a Turbo S2000.
Drag racing is brilliant.

LOVE the game,got quite a few cars tho,too many to mention,fastest is a maxxed out honda fit (jazz) sitting on ATS classics.
Tried drifiting yet? sooooooo much better than forza 2!
not done drag yet,looks good tho!
i havent seen drifting or drag races.. where can i find them?

Its pretty good, just starting to get to grips with the design editor thingy too. When racing, the handling seems to be a vast improvement on forza 2 along with the graphics. Lots can be done on the tuning side of it too.
Gonna show off my carbon Evo 6, pretty quick but doesn't have that high a top speed so is more suited to twisty circuits. :)

quite a few designs like this you can buy but the one i got seems to be the best effort so far

how have yous only got like 3 cars,you win loads of cars,ive been playing it for 2 days and have about 15 cars haha il get some pics up soon.

as for replicating the seat just somthing to do to see if i can do it, never really done much painting on forza2 allways bought stuff from the auction house as those daft yanks are 10x better at this stuff, give it till the end of the week and there will be loads of quality buys on there as u.s get forza tomorrow
managed a few more decals before getting down to some racing, -
sorted the door numbers and surrounds, made the club seat decals from scratch along with decals on the bonnet

i was messig round in the graphics part yesterday then gave up lol
i'm not quite getting the hang of making things up out of little shapes etc first.
this is what i've just finished building, wanted to style it my way but after a while of arsing around i decided that some other folks efforts were just a lot better so i bought the paint design

Got both on Demo, Fifa is easier as per. You want a proper football Sim, PES is your best bet. Although Fifa has improved a lot, I like yourself am still a PES man.

I want this game - but I'm not really a console person....... But I'm seriously tempted to buy an x-box just to get this game..... seeing how Santa appears not to be keen on gifting it to me..... as I never play my ps2......

Compared to forza 2 this is too easy imo. Apart from having an extra 65% added on to the credits after each race to make it a little more challenging, unlocking really good cars after each level makes the game far too easy. The cars that you win you are able to use to win the races, even without upgrades. Unlike FM2 where you had to actually save up for good upgrades/cars and some of the time I had to sell cars to buy one for another race FM3 gives you the cars for free so there is no need to save up for a really good one as more than likely you will unlock it. The achievements are also far too easy. There is not one that is challenging, only time consuming. FM2 had one where you had to buy all the cars, and most people had to change regions to unlock certain cars which all cost money. Cars were selling for millions in the auction house with either a good paint job and/or the race wins over 1000 with 0 times sold but now the cars you would expect to sell for a shit load (veyron) you actually unlock this in the game so you wonder, why should I save up when you may unlock this and waste your money!!
I remember having a ford gt40, I used it to win single races and eventually I had just under 2000 races wins with 0 times sold so I decided to sell it in the auction house. 24 hours later I had 198 million credits, all the players that used the money glitch when the game first came out were bidding like mad. Eventually I had bought all the cars, gave some of the money to pals and when I got bored I would take a car and tune it (as you do) but it got to a stage where I couldn’t be bothered because I felt I had done all the half decent > really good cars. Now in FM3 I know what cars are decent with fully upgraded parts so there is no need to do any of that over again, totally ruined it for myself lol.
Apart from that the game is really good in terms of graphics, engine noises, cockpit views within the race cars, new tracks etc.

what difficulty do you have it on? when i done the R3 races i used the mines skyline (upgraded to R3), pish on corners but on straights it flew, now im on R2 races so i upgraded it to that level and i still manage to win easy. I have the ABS off and the traction control off, manual TM, braking line only, damage is simulation. cant remember what else. last R2 race i done was with the Koneigsegggggeggegegeg upgraded to R2, really easy to make it spin but still winning races really easy. must admit though the R2,3 etc cars are brilliant at handling but top speeds are gash.
is it just me or have they reduced the amount of manufacturer decals?
not entirely sure on my level of difficulty, medium is what i think i set when i started the game. i have tcs and abs on, sometimes tcs fucks you up more than it does good. i play automatic with visual damage only and braking only racing line.
i could make the game a bit harder but i choose not to, at this stage anyway. car i'm using for the r3 races is my porsche 997 gt3 which is tuned as much as i can take it, its not high up in the r3 stage so is not always a clear winner, i seem to mostly have one of the other cars less than a second behind me when i'm in front.

Interesting comments re the difficulty / challenging / un-locking cars etc.
I'm not a gaming person, and I like a game to be playable and don't want to have to spend hours and hours winning races and building up points and prize money so i can mess about with the cars so if this is easier than previous ones then I could well purchase.
My question though is How realistic is the ring? The only people who I have spoke to about it haven't been to the ring so if anyone has been can you tell me how realistic it is because previous Forza's haven't impressed me much.
you will need to do a bit of racing to gain credits anyway but when it comes to buying parts the cost all adds up. its no like gran turismo for the ps1 or 2 where you are able to remove the memory card and tune a car and if its shite then reload the game, with autosave you dont have the choice but to race if you want more money or another car. but you dont really need to upgrade in this one tbh.

pulling the memory card out was refering to the playstation 1 & 2. PS3 (i think) and 360 now have the autosave feature so it cant be done. Reason i mention that was because someone said they prefer tuning cars than spending time on the racing.
the selling a car bit was the easiest way to make easy money. it beats doing an hours endurance race for 300,000 when one racecar itself costs that.

Once youve taken a picture it will ask you if you want to upload your pic to the storefront. Say Yes, then go to Home Page | Forza Motorsport
(http://www.forzamotorsport.net) and put in you're gamertag and the pictures should be there.
but how you get it from there to edinburghcruise
download the pics from the forza site, upload them to photobucket or wherever then post them here :D

Pity bathurst doesn't seem to feature in the game but the holden commodores (vxr8's to the uneducated) do!

how do you find out the percentage?? I just know i'm on Driver Level 22.. and whats the script with car levels only going as far as 5?? i'm sure on forza 2 they went higher!!

i forgot garth tander was at HRT till i saw the car, I've met him a few times aswell :D he was born and brought up in Perth if i mind right, he used to pal about with my dads mates laddie, he's about 5-6 years older than me
too check your % you have to go to 'my profile' at the bottom of the screen where the storefront etc is.
level 50 is the highest on both 2 and 3. cant go any higher.
Only just got this last night. Spent most of the time playing it online with a pal, so not been spending much on cars. Started off with a Fiesta. Won a Fiat Abbath and also in ownership of a Golf Gti.
Absolutely love the look of the game going by some of the images shown so far. As soon as i get somewhere decent i'll upload some images too.
Latest Little Find on the AH... Was a bog Standard Focus Rs, Now has Rs200 engine fully tuned, Different front bumper and a set of different wheels.. I love it

Looks very similar to mine Skipz only i don't have the decal. I've repainted it a nice rich red colour, lowered it to the lowest it goes, and upgraded the engine. It's now a class A. I need to check to see what kinda engine i have in it now, pretty sure it's a Rs200 engine too although can't be certain.
The wheels on yours are similar only mine have a chrome look about them. Look exactly the same though. Absolutely stunning on the car.
Gonna start taking some more photos of it when i am on again. Once done i'll upload here.
