NFS SHift - Game bug....

Anyone else done the Tier 3 Manufacturer Competition and got to the very last race the Z06 race at Donnington National and found they cant get their Corvette to move (probably knows i slagged them off in civicpowers S2k thread...)

tried battering through the gears manually (can still use them in Auto mode) to get it off the line but nothing, changed the settings from auto to manual gearbox but nothing... car just sits there revving it's tits off :(

i've not played it much so still on finishing races in tier 1 before doing the second lot.

i'm starting to get pissed off with this game, on tier 2 and the drifting is shite, the car is virtually uncontrollable, the racing is pretty hard my car struggles to keep up on the straights lol

tried to do the gt40 vs viper, now thats a fuckin nightmare, the viper was too fast, i couldnt keep the gt40 from spinning out and when i wasnt going so fast i was getting beat on the 5second getaway rule.

hahaha it's all about control, the controls are much like Grid, over do it and your going to cook it and spin or put yourself into a barrier, with the drifting you have to feather the controls and hit the corners around high 2nd gear low 3rd otherwise your going into the gravel/barrier, this is where i find the ps3 controls better than the xbox, the ps3 is more sensitive so you can get a better feel.. prractise by learning how to get perfect launches once you learn how to hold the revs on the line you get a feel of how to feather the throttle for drifting ;)

I havent mastered te drifting by anymeans but if the game was simple... we'd be moaning it was too easy,

Go the Viper in that race you've mentioned keith.. you can out handle the GT in the corners and out drag it in the straights, just keep him behind and get to the finish line, dont try and beat him on the 5second rule,

Go in tot he settings and play about with them aswell ;) i found that the computer setting them up for you doesnt work too well so i had to set mine myself,

yeah i have it on easy settings, had to switch off the assisted steering and braking as that was just annoying me.
never thought about doing the drifting in manual, i usually just use auto as its less fucking about.

give it a bash ;) but make sure you have a steady middle finger ;)

i still havent got to the bottom of this problem with the Z06 yet, happened with two other races.. just seemed to fix itself but wont do it for this Z06 race

i have been playing. unlocked tier 3 and got myself a Porsche GT2 ;) its awesome!

the drifting is shite, done it in manual but the cars are hard to drive in a straight line where you need to, dont like that part much.
never got passed the viper vs gt40 yet, the viper is a lot better for it tho.

the gameplay itself is pretty shite. the cars are too twitchy, regardless of what you do they are prone to sliding round all the bends!

havent come up against the corvette one but will look out for it.

forza is too serious, the same reason i went off gran turismo, they are good racing games but not as fun to play i dont think.

Gran Turismo 5 is the one worth waiting for.

Can you not download a patch or do a system update Skipz? Usually these fix bugs within the game.

Yepp that was forza 2,3's a whole lot different,theyve made it so anyone can play it now,plus added in things such as dedicated drag and drift races,like a need for speed game,i cant wait! haha

Can you not download a patch or do a system update Skipz? Usually these fix bugs within the game.

Michael... Forza is good but it doesnt beat the reality of the GT series imho,
