Was up the hill last night and 2 police chaps popped up in there panda wagon, just normal police not traffics, said we had to move and that it was now a 0 tolerance zone?? first i had heard, also said that if some one was seen driving away fast, dropping litter, driving like a tool by a member of the puplic they would be issued a asbo, eh am i being stupid here....that means i could just say i seen that police man leaving his work in a manner i felt was 2 fast and hes issued with a asbo? or he drops a bag of dougnuts? my point being where is the evidence to make a complaint like that stick its a case of one person against another. i can understand if 2 police officers see this happen. any info you guys know about???

cheers

I am aware some complaints have come in regarding the litter issue (despite numerous warnings on here- why don't people listen???) but i'm not aware of the "zero tolerance" issue....

The Hill has pretty much been left to run itself recently- we give it passing attention and stop to chat when we can, and the complaints have been few and far between, which is great. HOWEVER, if there is in increase in noise complaints, dropped litter or poor parking, we have to act. The first line of response will be the divisional officers, but Road Policing will attend if available. If the complaint warrants it, and we have sufficient evidence from the complainer, ASBO's will be used (if appropriate).

I hope users read this and take note- please act responsibly and be aware there may be complaints. Do not let it revert back to how it was 3 or 4 years ago.

I'll contact the divisional officers at Gayfield on my return to work and if i find out anything, i'll post it up.
