cracked windscreen

i parked my car in a private car park outside my work for about 3 or 4 hours. when i came back out my windscreen was cracked and looks like it was done by a person. the original plan was to knock on the guys door and argue wih him but i want to know where i stand with the legal rights. what can i do ? cheers

Very little, it might be difficult to establish guilt here, or indeed if it was the result of a malicious act. Check your insurance and see if you have free windscreen cover.
