speeding?

hi there i was coming home from work today along the long straight at granton and there was a speed van with the rear window flap open with the gun out i saw it about 300 metres away and was doing no more than 35 mph but checked my speed soon as i saw this and corrected it to 30 mph ,do u think this will lead to a penalty fine and points? and whats the lee way on these mobile camera vans i.e iv heard its 10% on the camera and 10% on the actuall cars speedo being out is this true, as i already have nine points and am only 19 and have paid the price for this ,i keep to the speed limit as i cant afford to lose it again but this time its just crept over the 30 mph mark, cheers

Thesholds are never disclosed because that encourages people to drive to the thresholds.

I can only say that you were speeding (but you already know that) - you were within the range at which the van could have detected you. All you can do is wait your 14 days and see if anything lands on your doormat.
