hi,
i was at the road safety thing last night in duns and there was speed cops there, iv jst got new plates for the car which are slightly different to originals, rear one is pretty much the same apart from having the japan logo. but the front is only 9"x3" because iv cut abit out my bumper for intercooler and also has the japan logo.
the cops tried 2 give me a £30 fine for this, until i pointed out that the flier states no-one will be ticketed unless there vehicle could cause danger 2 them selves or other road users.
i was told by a mate that if your cars an import then it doesnt matter about the size of the plates or the logos?? and the copper also said that it wouldnt matter if it was an import. is this correct?
im not even sure if its an import though but i dont think they were built in this country, as far as i know there was just over a thousand of them from japan, but mine is an H plate and was 1st registered in this country, although not until 94'. how can i check if its an import?
